Bulk Desiccated Coconut for Wholesale & Commercial Supply

Desiccated coconut is bought by cut, and a cut here is a sieve specification rather than a word.

Full-fat lines state oil from 60 percent up, and reduced-fat lines run 40 to 55. Moisture sits at 3 to 3.5 percent at most.

Tell us the cut and the fat and we quote the grade.

What You Can Change

  • Cut. Fine, medium or coarse, each to a sieve specification.
  • Fat. Full fat, or reduced fat at 40 to 55 percent.
  • Toasted or raw, and sweetened or unsweetened.
  • Sulfite profile. SO2 nil, or SO2 stated on the sheet.
  • Pack. 250 g consumer packs up to 50 kg bulk bags, and private label.

Private Label

Fine, medium or coarse, full fat or reduced, toasted or raw: the cut and the profile are yours to set. Consumer packs from 250 g carry your label, and the sieve specification travels with each lot.

How private label works

A jug of coconut milk, a tray of desiccated coconut and half a fresh coconut on a stainless steel bench.

Questions Buyers Ask

+Is it sulfited?

The published fine grade states its sulphite residue, as SO2, as nil. One fine line is specified with SO2, and two sheets give the SO2-free line a shorter shelf life than the sulfited one: 9 months against 12.

+Is there a reduced-fat grade?

Yes, in fine and extra fine: 40 to 55 percent fat, against 60 percent and up on the full-fat lines. The fat is a row on every grade's table.

+How long does it keep?

Most lines state 12 months. The published medium grade states 12 months at 10 to 15°C and 50 percent relative humidity, and warns that discoloration can start sooner in warmer storage; keep it out of prolonged heat above 30°C.

+What packs does it come in?

Bulk ships in multiwall kraft bags with a polyethylene liner, from 25 lb to 100 lb and from 8 kg to 50 kg. Consumer packs run from 250 g to 1 kg.
